Location - on the west side of Milton NC on the south side of Highway 62 just before the Dan River bridge going into Virginia.

There are numerous unmarked graves. The W. P. A. cleaned the cemetery and removed the stones and they were never replaced.

Legend tells us that several soldiers were brought back after one battle of the War Between the States and were buried in a common grave. Nobody today knows for sure the location.
