On 20 February 1990, Will M. Heiser recorded one grave marker. On 2 May 1996, he witnessed the disinterment, by NC DOT, and reinterment 70 feet north to get out of the right-of-way for widening US 64.

Rachel (Johnson) Cox, property owner, and descendant of David Fox thinks that his wife may have been buried adjacent to her husband, and that, originally, there may have been others buried there which were disturbed when US 64 was built. Disinterment of David Fox's grave and probing the area around it gave no evidence of other graves.
