Location - on the grounds of Polk Correctional Institute in Butner NC.

Directions: From the Stem city limits sign on Old Hwy 75 going toward Durham drive approximately 5.1 miles. Turn left on Westbrook Dr. and drive 3/10 mi.; turn right to go to Polk Correctional Institution. The cemetery is located to the left in the edge of the woods just before reaching the parking lot. Known as the cemetery at the Grain Bin at John Umstead Hospital.

You MUST go to the guard station to obtain permission to be on the grounds.
