318    GOOCH FAMILY (Culbreth Rd)

Location - off Culbreth Rd about 0.6 mile from Old Hwy 75.

Directions: From Stem drive toward Oxford on Old Hwy 75. Turn left on Culbreth Rd. Drive 0.6 mile and turn right into the driveway of an old abandoned house and park. The graves are in the backyard about 100 ft. from the house. There is a footstone marker with the initials JHG. This grave is believed to be that of J. Henry Gooch, who was killed when a mule or horse kicked him. Another unmarked grave is said to be Dora Gooch. There is said to be more unmarked graves here but we see no sign of them.
