Surviving in addition to his parents are daughters, Amiee Baker Rodgers and husband, Bruce Rodgers, Rebecca Baker Nabors and husband, Jeff Nabors; sisters, Sherry Baird and husband, Donnie Baird, Dee Anna Strickland and husband, Cale Strickland; brother, Burtis Baker and wife, Mary Baker; grandchildren, Cameron Foushee, Morgan Foushee, Kaleb Foushee, and Ivy Nabors; nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Arrangements were handled by Bridges Cameron Funeral Home of Sanford, NC. Funeral services were held at Full Gospel Assembly with burial in the Grace Chapel Cemetery.

After proudly serving his country in the Air Force, Buster enjoyed a long career in farming. Buster is survived by his wife, Madge Hancock Coggins; son, John W. Coggins, Jr. and Teri of Oregon; four daughters, Karen McNeill and husband, Scott, Tammy Johnson and husband, Clyde, Angela Cole and husband, William, Pamela Blalock and husband, Teddy; two brothers, Jimmie Coggins and wife, Peggy, Thomas Coggins and wife, Fancy; three sisters, Jewell Stone, Sylvia Adcock and husband, Albert and Mollie Slate all of Sanford; sister-in-law, Ann Coggin of Greensboro; grandchildren, Matthew McNeill, Jenna Brown, Patrick Coggins, Stephanie Motley, Lara Wind, Clayton Cole, Arrington Crilly, Abigail Johnson, Alex Johnson and Jackson Cole; eight great-grandchildren and a long-time friend, Fay Godbee and husband, Billy of Georgia. He was born in Durham County, NC to the late Robert Lee Leathers and Ruth Marie Monroe Leathers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Robert Brian Leathers and siblings Lillian Leathers, Ruth Ann L. Holeman and John Edwin Leathers. Robert loved his Lord, his family, his country, and running. He loved his church - Grace Chapel - where he taught classes. He attended Durham Technical College and graduated with honors with an A.A.S., Shaw University with a B.A. and Webster University with honors with an M.A. in Criminal Justice. Robert worked with the Durham Police Department, Central Carolina Community College as Chairman of the Criminal Justice program for 14 years, and the NC Justice Academy as an instructor/coordinator for 22 years where he was honored with an award named for him- the Robert Leathers Merit Service Award. He also worked for the Institute of Police Technology and Management as an instructor in Jacksonville, FL. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Harriet Blue Leathers; daughters Robbi Ellen Leathers Muckenfuss and husband J. of Durham, Jennifer Marie Leathers Myers and husband Charles of Charlotte; siblings Peggie L. Wright of Durham, Francis L. Thomson of Boise, ID, and Tim Leathers of Durham; and grandchildren John Alexander Muckenfuss, Kathryn Blue Muckenfuss, Anna Noel Muckenfuss and Robert Stephen Leathers. Arrangements were handled by Bridges Cameron Funeral Home in Sanford, NC. Services were held at Grace Chapel Church in Sanford and burial was in the church cemetery.

Coggins and Mary Bullard Coggins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Franklin Perrell and siblings Beatrice Coggins Fields and Hortense Coggins Holder. Mrs. Perrell was a member of Grace Chapel Church and was retired from the Lee County Tax Assessor's Office after 31 years of service. Nancy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed. She is survived by sons Donald Lynn Perrell and wife Wendy of Sanford, David Franklin Perrell and wife Kristy of Bear Creek; sisters Maxine Coggins Yarborough of Sanford, Marcella Coggins Gittins of Sanford; grandchildren Brooke Perrell, Amanda Perrell Jones and husband Chris, Adam Perrell and wife Raechelle, Alec Perrell, Anna Perrell, Devin Perrell and wife Taylor and great-grandson Eliott Jones. Wife of Mack Delbert Strickland. Charlotte Wray Ostrowski Strickland, age 83, of Sanford, NC, died Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Sanford Health and Rehabilitation.
She was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Thomas Ostrowski and Wilhilmina Molosic Ostrowski. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Delbert Strickland and a brother, Thomas Ostrowski. Mrs. Strickland served her country in the US Air Force. She was a member of Grace Chapel Church for many years where she enjoyed singing in the choir and teaching a Sunday School class. Thru the years, she was employed as an administrative assistant at The TLC Home, Lee County Health Department, Sanford Central High School and Jonesboro Elementary. Her hobbies included sewing. She loved animals.
Charlotte is survived by her sons, Mitchell Strickland and wife, Lisa of Sanford, Marc Strickland and wife, GiGi of Raleigh; one daughter, Donna Strickland of Sanford; five grandchildren, Tyler Strickland, Meaghann Daniel and husband, Michael, Brandon Strickland, Harrison Strickland and wife, Marcia and Justin Strickland. She is also survived by her "sisters", Betty Glass and Jeanie Caswell who were lifelong friends.
