137 HOGAN, ALEXANDER FAMILY CEMETERY
Location - In Chapel Hill Township, on Duke Forest property 0.13 mi. N of Eubanks Road (SR #1727), from a point opposite the junction of Rogers Road (SR #1729) with Eubanks Road. It is indicated on Duke Forest maps but is not on an authorized trail or in an authorized access area; permission to visit must be obtained from the Office of the Duke Forest.

This site was proposed in 1995 as a new landfill area. Historic preservationists fought this landfill proposal.
Survey - William Johnston Hogan and M. C. Engstrom surveyed the cemetery on possibly February 27, 1976. Photographs by Milton Forsyth in March 2005. He also revised the location directions.
Current Status - Remains of a low (12') dry laid stone wall are there - two pieces, one a corner. Inside are 25 or 30 fieldstones, but apparently no marked stone. (Comments written by Mr. William Johnston Hogan Feb. 27, 1976.)
