Location - Dunns Mountain Road, Granite Quarry, a couple of blocks north of Hwy 52.

Antioch Baptist Church was established in 1913. The members of the black community acquired the use of an old house near the railroad tracks and gathered there to form the first Black Church in Granite Quarry. The building had no heat or furniture, so the members would bring oil lamps, chairs and tables each Sunday morning and then take them home afterwards. It was ten years later in 1923, when the property was purchased upon which to build a church. The exact date is not known for the building of the first Church, but it is believed to have been sometime in the early 1930's. The second Church was built in 1954 and the present Church, which faces Highway 52 was built in 1981. The land for the church cemetery, which is located on Dunns Mountain Road, was purchased in 1945.
