John Lewis Terrell (17 Mar 1807 - 26 Jan 1886) was born and died in Wake County, NC. J.L. was the sixth of Solomon Terrell's eight sons. John Lewis married Sarah Williams (16 Apr 1814 - 10 Jul 1878 ) on 17 May 1831. Their graves, along with at least six of their children and others, are in Terrell's Cemetery on East Young Street in Rolesville. Unsubstantiated family legend suggests that Solomon Terrell and his wife may also be buried (in unmarked graves) within this family plot.

Survey by Allen Dew in September 2017 with help from Teresa Marcellin-Little.
