      Location - off Hwy 1 S/158 W about 6.8 miles from Norlina.


      Directions: From Warrenton courthouse on N Main St, travel 0.2 mile onto Ridgeway St and Hwy 158 W Bus /401 N. Travel 4.1 miles to Norlina and turn left onto US Hwy 1 S/158 W for 6.7 miles into Vance County. Turn left onto the first farm path and cross the railroad. Follow path which has a locked gate and go beyond the farm pond and across the field to edge of woods at top of the hill. The abandoned cemetery, on land granted to Sam Smith (1676 - 1760), is on the property of Ronald Stainback, Middleburg, N. C. There appears to be an entrance to the cemetery off SR 1101 (Kimball Rd) near Soul City. Race-White.
